NOTICE OF RACE

Manly Sailing Club, Laurence Street, Manly, Whangaparaoa

ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY:

The regatta is open to all boats of the Optimist, P, Starling, Splash, Techno, Laser 4.7, and Laser Radial classes and other junior and youth classes. Sailors must be under age 19 years on 31 December 2008 (or such lesser age that applies to each class). Each class with six or more entries will be scored separately for prizes.

Entries shall be made by completing an On-line Entry Form before midnight on Thursday 17 October 2008 accompanied by the fee of $15 per sailor ($10 for other sailors from same household) or by completing a Race-day Entry Form at the clubhouse after 8:30am on regatta day accompanied by the fee of $20 per sailor ($15 for other sailors from same household).

SCHEDULE:

Briefing will be at 9:45am at the clubhouse.

Five races are scheduled for the series. Three races to be completed to constitute a series.

Warning signal for race 1 scheduled for 10:30am.

First three races are scheduled back to back.

Warning signal for race 4 scheduled for 2:00pm.

Fourth and fifth races are scheduled back to back.

Auckland Centreboard Clubs Standard Sailing Instruction 5.6 will be changed to allow a warning signal before 4:30pm.

RULES:

The regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008, by the Auckland Centreboard Clubs Standard Sailing Instructions version 2005-02, and by YNZ Safety Regulations Part 1. Copies of the Standard Sailing Instructions will be available at the clubhouse on regatta day.
